Alex could not have been more excited to win first place last Saturday in Logan, UT. They scored 793 out of 1000. They are in division 1A. The 2A division first place only got 748. The whole band was so excited. It was my first away trip for a competition with the band. I wish I could go every time. Was so fun and exciting.
This weekend Red Rock Invitational in St. George, UT. Alex will be gone for 3 days. Good Luck.

He plans on being in marching band for the rest of his high school career. There will be other opportunities for you all to come and see him & probably Ben too. Yikes. Looking forward to having all my kids in band. By the way Alex plays Melaphone. That is a marching french horn. If he perfects that instrument he has an excellant chance of a college scholarship. I guess grades count in there too.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALEX AND THE BAND!!!!!!!!!!! How exciting. He looks so handsome in that uniform! And he is so easy to see with those Grandma Sandy cheeks!
