After we got married and moved to Woodland and then to Vancouver we would make our special trips to the Portland Costco, near the airport. One time when we were there we discovered Gooey Buns. These rolls were drenched in cream cheese frosting and a cinnamon gooey sauce. Yummy!
Sometimes we would make special trips there at 8 pm just to pick up those gooey buns for a special treat. They came in a box of 6 and didn't last long. They were delicious. Then, all of a sudden they were gone. We talked to management and discovered they were discontinuing them. We sent a letter to corporate and said a farewell to our favorite treat. It was akin to a funeral. We mourned.
It has been over 10 years since we have had those rolls. Until....last night!
